- Berry fruits such as blackcurrants belong in every garden. One of the best varieties of large-fruited blackcurrants is Ribes nigrum Titania . It is very prolific with high quality fruit. This blackcurrant comes from Sweden.
- This variety of blackcurrant forms a medium thick upright bush. The branches are very vigorous, reaching up to 150cm in length under ideal conditions. Its shape can be well modified by pruning.
- Titania blackcurrant fruits are 2g in size and grow in long clusters of about 10cm. The flavour is sweet with a medium thick skin. They grow in clusters with a black , slightly glossy colour and a refreshing sweet taste. It is very aromatic. Titania currant produces regular and good quality fruit with excellent flavour. The currants are suitable for direct consumption but also for processing or freezing. They can be stored for some time in the refrigerator. They do not lose their quality even when harvested later.
- The average harvest per crab is about 10 kg.
- Currants contain a lot of vitamins and minerals, so they should not be missing in any garden.
- Titania currants ripen at the beginning of June.
- The variety is self-pollinating and fully hardy.
